The CURT Echo™ (#51180) is a Bluetooth-enabled, mobile brake control that allows users to conveniently control and monitor their trailer brakes using a smartphone and an accompanying app. This device seamlessly connects between the vehicle and trailer's 7-way wiring connection, utilizing Bluetooth technology to sync with the user's phone.

To take advantage of the CURT Echo™, simply download the Smart Control app, which transforms your smartphone into the interface for the trailer brake control. Through this app, users have the ability to adjust the maximum braking power and sensitivity while towing. It also provides valuable diagnostic information such as overload conditions and trailer-disconnect errors. For added convenience and safety, the Smart Control app includes a manual override feature that allows users to activate the trailer brakes as needed.

With its compact design and plug-and-play installation, the CURT Echo™ is highly portable and can be easily transferred between different vehicle-trailer combinations. To facilitate this versatility, the Smart Control app allows users to store up to five personalized user profiles, each with its own unique settings.

An additional benefit of the CURT Echo™ is that the Smart Control app does not need to remain open in order for the mobile brake control to function properly. Once users have selected their desired profile settings, they can close the app, and the Echo™ will autonomously utilize these settings to determine maximum braking power and aggressiveness.
